Suddenly, the whole idea friends strikes me hard. I've lost some, been without some, and as well as made some.

I'm a hardcore 'suan'er by nature, (all my friends will agree in complete unison). But haha, ok luh, at least I dun go too far? (Oh if you think its that bad already, you havent see anything). But ya, sometimes I think just a tinsy winsy bit of sincere words and really brighten someone's day? Heh, I'm beginning to switch more to the nicer side rather than suaning ppl all day BUT I assure you all... You people will never be relieved of the day of which I will suan you! Muahahax

Okayz back to friends. You know, I really dont believe in friends. The harsh reality is that people come and people go. NO ONE will stay by your side forever. That you'll have to agree with me. But, I think what's more important than making new friends or saying goodbye to some is cherish those around you.

Friends, I might say, are like your average MRT trips. At every other point in time, people board, people alight. Really, I think, its not a matter of "Hi"s and "Goodbye"s but all that goes between them. The time spent together. The "cheap thrills" and sad days. The times of when friends sit together over some starbucks coffee, and just stare blankly into each other eyes.

From another view, using the same analogy, while we have people boarding and alighting from the cabins we're in, we ourselves do have our own times of boarding and alighting.

Through experience, I have suffered the loss of a best friend, all done by my own folly. All I did was teased him, manipulated him, you know, just to really lord over him. Like this:




In a friendship, the experiences should be mutual. The joys, the burdens, the share weal-and-woe-together kind of thing. Like this:




Having a friend doesnt mean to receive from others; fun, love, affection, emotional and material wants. We've got to be that friend as well. To be a support to another, maybe to be just a listening ear, give a pleasant surprise, or just to have one's presence around. Heh, in short, be a friend :)
